Our toddler program has evolved over the past 25 years. We concentrate on promoting social skills and emphasizing language stimulation and large muscle development. Multiple social activities (circle time, snack time and work time) encourage our students to interact with both adults and each other in positive and meaningful ways leading to parallel and eventually cooperative play. Songs, books records and games which elicite language are heavily used. The gymnasium and our newly renovated outdoor play area (weather permitting) are used for at least 30 minutes daily to give your child the time to run, climb, jump, slide, etc.

Groups are formed in mid-September for children 18 to 33 months old. The teacher student ratio for are classes are 8 students to 2 teachers for the half day program and 12 students to 3 teachers for the full day program.

The school year for toddlers runs from mid-September to early June and loosely follows the public school calander. In September we conduct intake interviews and orientation classes designed to ease the students into our school. Individual separation arrangements are made for each student based on age, experience and parent preference. A loving care-giver is expected to be available for each student until he or she comfortably separates .
